Fifteen steps to a healthy self image

Zig Ziglar, in this book See you at the top describes how self image exhibits in your actions consciously or subconsciously. Here are the steps he lists for a healthy self image


Step #1 - Take inventory, where you are? No one on the face of earth can make you feel inferior without your permission. Like yourself too much to give this permission to anyone. God doesn't sponsor any flops and you are his creation.

Step #2 - Make up - Dress up, Go up

Step #3 - Read biographies and inspirational stuff

Step #4 - Listen to speakers Those who build mankind.

Step #5 - Small steps to success - Fear of failure is what stops most to venture in to something new. Start small, it gradually builds confidence for greater accomplishment.

Step #6 - Join the smile and compliment club

Step #7 - Do something for someone needy (no return favors please)

Step #8 - Associate with people of high moral character

Step #9 - Make a list of your positive qualities

Step #10 - Make a victory list of your past successes

Step #11 - Avoid Porn, daily TV serials

Step #12 - Learn from successful failures (Walt Disney went broke 7 times)

Step #13 - Join org/clubs that requires you to speak.

Step #14 - Look in the eye (stepwise - in the mirror, children and peers)

Step #15 - Work on physical appearance (weight etc.)
